MACHINE A TYPOGRAPHIER

– Wikipedia

BANSKY

« We can’t do anything to change the world until capitalism crumbles. In the meantime we should all go shopping to console ourselves. » — Banksy, Wall and Piece

Banksy once characterised graffiti as a form of underclass « revenge », or guerilla warfare that allows an individual to snatch away power, territory and glory from a bigger and better equipped enemy. Banksy sees a social class component to this struggle, remarking « If you don’t own a train company then you go and paint on one instead. »Banksy’s work has also shown a desire to mock centralized power, hoping that his work will show the public that although power does exist and work against you, that power is not terribly efficient and it can and should be deceived. – Wikipedia

OBEY

The FIRST AIM OF PHENOMENOLOGY is to reawaken a sense of wonder about one’s environment. The OBEY sticker attempts to stimulate curiosity and bring people to question both the sticker and their relationship with their surroundings. Because people are not used to seeing advertisements or propaganda for which the product or motive is not obvious, frequent and novel encounters with the sticker provoke thought and possible frustration, nevertheless revitalizing the viewer’s perception and attention to detail. The sticker has no meaning but exists only to cause people to react, to contemplate and search for meaning in the sticker. Because OBEY has no actual meaning, the various reactions and interpretations of those who view it reflect their personality and the nature of their sensibilities.

KIDULT

Being a follower or a leader, I’ll lay out what people dont want to see or hear through my work.

Graffiti is, before all, a useful policy … Like a weapon.

Graffiti is the first form of revolt, whatever it is, whith inscriptions or drawings, during wars, riots  or revolutions. The economy in which we live in is ilke a cerebral dysfunction, and the people at the bottom of the ladder are starving … The revolution will be the next step. this truth is deeply inscribed in my work.

The goal is to take back the space taking up by the urban capitalism represented by the multinationals. Promote free graffiti to send a clear message.

I’ll apply the same marketing strategy that use these brands, but for non-commercial purposes and which illegal means. This is a visual dictatorship in the urban space. These gurus are registered trademarks, we are not. I use the classic circuits of these brands in the hacking and for protest.
